Meet Coach McInnis...

Bill McInnis is a 1982 graduate of Franklin High School. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine, Orono, where he attended on a full baseball scholarship. He played in the 1983 and 1984 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

In the summer of 1985, Bill signed as a free agent with the Boston Red Sox organization. He played for the Winter Haven Red Sox (class A), the New Britain Red Sox (class AA) and finished his career with the Pawtucket Red Sox (class AAA). In the summer of 2002 he was the batting practice pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and the Lowell Spinners.

Bill’s successful Varsity Baseball coaching career at Nipmuc Regional High School spanned ten years and included three Division III State Championship titles in 2001, 2002, and 2005. He was an assistant coach for the Worcester State College Lancers in 2006 and remains a consultant to the team.

Bill earned a Master of Education degree from Fitchburg State College in 2001 and is a Physical Education teacher at Nimpuc Regional High School. He founded Champion Sports Academy (formerly known as Grand Slam Academy) in 2004.
